Relationship Counseling
Every relationship—whether monogamous, open, or ethically non-monogomous has its own unique dynamics and challenges. Emotional disconnection, communication breakdowns, and recurring patterns of conflict are common, but these difficulties don’t have to define your experience together. If you and your partner(s) are struggling or feeling stuck, therapy can help you find a path to deeper understanding and lasting connection.
I am trained in and utilize Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), an approach that focuses on helping you understand, express, and respond to your emotions in ways that strengthen bonds and foster deeper intimacy. EFCT is based on the idea that emotions are at the core of how we relate to others. Our feelings drive our behavior and shape the way we interact. When we struggle to express or understand our emotions, it can lead to misunderstandings, hurt, or disconnection. EFCT helps partners identify their emotional needs, express them authentically, and respond to each other with empathy and care.
